Family-owned. Australian-made. Same workshop, sharper machines.
Founded 1991. Padco Engineering was started in 1991 as a small machine shop serving Melbourne's south-east. Over three decades, we've grown our capabilities while holding onto the things that built the business: straight quoting, reliable lead times, and work that goes out the door right first time.
Second generation. Today the workshop is run by the next generation of the family. The machines have changed — CNC came in, then live tooling, then 4-axis milling — but the way we work hasn't. You speak to the people doing your job. We say no to work we can't do well. And we don't quote what we can't deliver.
What hasn't changed. We're still family-owned. We're still 100% Australian. And we're still here when you call.
STEP, IGES, DXF, PDF, even a sketch on the back of an envelope if that's where you're up to. We'll come back with a quote, a lead time, and any questions about tolerances or finish.
If your part is on the edge of our envelope, we'll say so. If a different process would make more sense, we'll suggest it. If we can't do the job, we'll tell you who can.
We've stayed deliberately mid-sized. That means we can keep an eye on every job, and you don't get lost in a queue behind a thousand-piece order.
Send a drawing or pick up the phone. We're in the workshop Monday to Friday.
